Rental Policies

THERE WILL BE AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF $7.99 CAD PER DAY FOR EACH ADDITIONAL AUTHORIZED DRIVER OTHER THAN A SPOUSE OR DOMESTIC PARTNER.

PLEASE LOCK CAR DOORS AND THEN PLACE THE KEYS IN DEALERSHIP SERVICE DROP BOX LOCATED NEXT TO DOOR. THE RENTER'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR VEHICLE CONDITION ENDS ONCE AN ENTERPRISE-RENT-A-CAR EMPLOYEE INSPECTS THE VEHICLE THE NEXT BUSINESS DAY.

All renters must be 21 years of age or older. Renters between the ages of 21 through 24 years may only rent Economy through Full size cars. All renters under the age of 25 must provide a copy of an active, valid auto liability policy to qualify for a rental.

This reservation is being made with a Contract ID number (CID) assigned to a Corporate Account for use exclusively by its eligible renters. Use of this CID by individuals other than eligible renters is prohibited and may result in disciplinary action. Renters using this CID may be required to show proof of employment or authorization (such as a business card, current email with company domain, work order, etc.). Questions about acceptable proof of employment or authorization should be directed to your Travel Manager.

DAMAGE WAIVER (DW) FOR THIS BRANCH RANGES BETWEEN $15.99 AND $21.99 PER DAY. - DW IS OFFERED AT THE TIME OF RENTAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAILY CHARGE. IF THE RENTER ACCEPTS DW, ENTERPRISE WAIVES OR REDUCES THE RENTER'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OF, OR DAMAGE TO, THE RENTAL VEHICLE (INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO TOWING, STORAGE, LOSS OF USE, ADMINISTRATIVE FEES AND/OR DIMINISHMENT OF VALUE) SUBJECT TO THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF THE RENTAL AGREEMENT AND APPLICABLE LAWS. DW IS NOT INSURANCE. THE PURCHASE OF DW IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED TO RENT A CAR. THE PROTECTION PROVIDED BY DW MAY DUPLICATE THE RENTER'S EXISTING COVERAGE. ENTERPRISE IS NOT QUALIFIED TO EVALUATE THE ADEQUACY OF THE RENTER'S EXISTING COVERAGE; THEREFORE THE RENTER SHOULD EXAMINE HIS OR HER CREDIT CARD PROTECTIONS, AUTOMOBILE INSURANCE POLICIES OR OTHER SOURCES OF COVERAGE THAT MAY DUPLICATE THE PROTECTION PROVIDED BY DW.

DEPOSIT AMOUNT To account for Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, at the time of rental, renters will be required to provide the following deposit amount: $850 for the following vehicles classes: Performance Sport, Full Size Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Full Size Elite Electric Sedan, Midsize Sport Luxury Sedan, Full Size Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury Sedan, Electric Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury SUV, Extended Luxury SUV, Limo Van, and Corvette. $1,000 for the following vehicle classes: Luxury Performance Sport, Elite Performance Sport, Ultra Performance Sport, Ultra Luxury Sedan, and Ultra Luxury SUV. INSURANCE VERIFICATION At the time of rental, Renter must provide evidence of transferrable auto collision, comprehensive and liability policy for the following vehicle classes: Full Size Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury Sedan, Midsize Sport Luxury Sedan, Electric Luxury Sedan, Premium Luxury SUV, Extended Luxury SUV, Electric Luxury SUV, Limo Van, Corvette, Luxury Performance Sport, Elite Performance Sport, Ultra Performance Sport, Ultra Luxury Sedan, and Ultra Luxury SUV.

The renters liability insurance will apply except where Enterprise is required by law to provide liability protection.

WINTER TIRES AVAILABLE UPON REQUEST AT A FEE OF 12.99 PER DAY. PLEASE CALL THE BRANCH FOR DETAILS. KILOMETERS ARE UNLIMITED AS LONG AS THE VEHICLE REMAINS INSIDE THE PROVINCE OF ORIGIN AND BORDER CITIES AND TOWNS OUTSIDE PROVINCE OF ORIGIN. IF THE VEHICLE IS TRAVELING OUTSIDE PROVINCE OF ORIGIN OR BORDER CITIES AND TOWNS, KILOMETERS ARE LIMITED TO 200 KM DAILY, 1400 KM WEEKLY AND 3000 KM MONTHLY, WITH 20 CENTS PER ADDITIONAL KILOMETER. VEHICLES ARE ALLOWED TO TRAVEL INTO THE UNITED STATES WITH LIMITED KILOMETERS ONLY.

PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI) FOR THIS BRANCH IS $2.00 PER DAY. - PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE (PAI) IS OFFERED AT THE TIME OF RENTAL FOR AN ADDITIONAL DAILY CHARGE. IF ACCEPTED, PAI PROVIDES THE RENTER AND PASSENGERS WITH ACCIDENTAL DEATH, MEDICAL EXPENSES AND DENTAL BENEFITS. BENEFITS ARE PAYABLE IN ADDITION TO ANY OTHER INSURANCE COVERAGE THE RENTER OR PASSENGERS MAY HAVE. THIS IS A SUMMARY ONLY. PAI IS SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS, LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS OF THE PAI POLICY UNDER- WRITTEN BY AVIVA INSURANCE COMPANY. THE PURCHASE OF PAI IS OPTIONAL AND NOT REQUIRED TO RENT A CAR. THE COVERAGE PROVIDED BY PAI MAY DUPLICATE THE RENTER'S EXISTING COVERAGE. A major credit card in the renters name is required for a deposit on all rentals. At the time of payment, cash, travelers checks or a major credit card are accepted.

Enterprise offers roadside assistance protection at select locations. Rap allows Enterprise customers to waive financial responsibility for chargeable roadside incidents such as lost keys, lockouts, and fuel outages. Rap can be added for 3.99 US or Canadian dollars per day. Road side assistance protection offers these services--flat tire, jump start, lockout service, fuel delivery, and key replacement. Note- in NY, CA, NV, and KS the cost of the key will not be covered, only the service to deliver the key or perform the lockout service. Roadside assistance protection is void and of no effect if, at the time of the incident necessitating roadside assistance, you or any authorized driver were in violation of the rental agreement, including, without limitation, the prohibited uses and violations set forth therein. In such cases, roadside assistance will be available, but standard charges may apply.

All drivers must- -have a valid United States, Canadian, or international drivers permit. All international drivers must also have their own country specific drivers license. -have a major credit card in their name at the time of rental. (exceptions may apply by location please see individual location payment policy.) Note: Enterprise locations require a rental deposit in addition to the cost of the rental amount. -meet the rental locations minimum age requirements. - - renters with an international drivers license not in English or French must call the office for additional information. - - graduated license restrictions apply. To rent a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the United States and Canada, you will need the following:

  • To be 25 years old 
  • A valid driver's license with a photo
  • A photo ID (For example: a driver’s license or passport)
  • Credit or debit card (check the acceptable forms of payment at the location you’re renting from)

Some locations may require additional information, including but not limited to: 

  • An International Driving Permit (IDP): If the license is written in a language or characters different to those of the country of rental, an IDP is also required. Renters are advised to check whether local authorities require foreign drivers to present an International Driving Permit to avoid the risk of potential fines. Renters with licenses from countries who are not part of the International Driving Permit Agreement should carry a certified translation.
  • Return travel and accommodation information: Visitors to the UK must also provide proof of return travel and accommodation information while in the UK. 

As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Fuel Policy at Non-Airport locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • A full tank of gas is not guaranteed.

Fuel Policy at Airport Car Rental Locations:

  • You may refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level you received when you picked up the vehicle, or if you choose not to refuel the vehicle to the same fuel level, you will be charged the local Enterprise rate which is typically above the local pump price. An additional refueling charge may apply at some locations.
  • You may opt to pre-pay for fuel -- Pre-pay gives you two conveniences:
    • You can avoid the hassle of having to fuel up the vehicle before returning.
    • Pre-pay fuel option is calculated at the local rate of gas minus a per gallon discount.

Note: Prepaid fuel is only sold in full tanks at the discounted price per gallon and is not refundable. Local fuel rates will vary by the area you are renting a vehicle.
